Cool Paints Trials in Schools to Mitigate UHI Effects

Urban Infrastructure

About the Project

The project aims to collect data to assess the efficacy of cool paints in mitigating the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effects in selected Singapore schools through the deployment of micro-scale sensors and remote sensing platforms. Effectiveness of these measures will be assessed through measured reductions in air and surface temperatures, as well as in thermal comfort indices such as Physiological Equivalent Temperatures and Wet-Bulb Globe Temperatures.
